Kittens

July 28th, 2010

We have rescued a litter of kittens from our back yard and need to find them homes. Out of the original seven kittens we have five left. We have two short-hair grey girls, one a light grey and one a darker grey. Also we have a brown tabby that is a girl. For the boys there is a grey tabby that has a leopard spotted coat, and a dark long-hair brown and black tabby.

If it weren’t for the fact that we already had three cats of our own we’d consider keeping one or two of them but that just isn’t an option. Please help us find them homes! All of the local shelters are full and won’t take them and animal control will just put them down. Help them have a chance!

Brush With Death

April 9th, 2010

So I had a small brush with death this morning. After waking up and finding some clothes; I staggered into the bathroom, peed, and then started to brush my teeth. Halfway through brushing my teeth the damn tooth brush snapped in half lodging the brush end in my throat. I coughed it up thankfully but damn! Completely unexpected, although it did wake my ass up. Now I feel the need to be adventurous today and try to cheat death again.

Hahaha!!! I just realized I said “brush” with death. LoL!

Bacon!

April 8th, 2010

Ok I know this is random too, and that seems to be my theme as of late; but I smell bacon. Now, in this house that normally wouldn’t be that odd of a smell. However we aren’t cooking, and haven’t cooked bacon in quite some time. The only reasonable explanation is that I’m having a stroke, which explains some other abnormal things with me today. Earlier I felt as though I was drunk and light headed even though I haven’t had alcohol in probably three weeks or so. Irregardless of the possible stroke, the mystery bacon that I’m smelling smells really good and now I’m craving it… Hell I could be pregnant too!

Alright, everyone get back to your regularly scheduled programming.

Sad World

April 6th, 2010

What kind of world has it become when you cant even use the word Velcro anymore. I just saw a commercial on tv for something and they referred to the Velcro as a “hook and loop” system; WTF?! Seriously Velcro, Sheetrock, Kleenex, and Ziplock should be used synonymously with all brands of the same products.

Random rant of the day.

*Cough Cough*

April 5th, 2010

This cold is so getting old. I don’t have any of the symptoms anymore except now I’m coughing my head off. I’d take a cough suppressant but I’ve always been told the best way to get over a cough is to let it run its course; you have to cough up all the ick to make it go away. So wouldn’t a suppressant just make it drag out longer? I have noticed today that my coughing seems to be “deeper” so maybe thats a good thing, or not…

How lame is it that I want to read the Richard Castle book, but I’m too lazy to even make it through the preview of it in iTunes? I really enjoy the tv show so I was hoping the book would be similar but hell at this rate I’ll never know.

Speaking of iTunes and iPads and iPhones; after having sent considerable time with an iPad it makes my iPhone feel so tiny in comparison. I pick it up to answer a text message and it feels like I almost need a magnifying glass to see the virtual keyboard.

Bailey was so cute earlier, I gave him some of my cheesecake and he really liked it. I felt bad though because Loki wanted some too but there wasn’t any left. It’ll probably make them sick but it was nice to see him happy (Bailey not Loki).

I’m starting to ramble about my surroundings so I better cut this short. Later y’all!

Happy Easter!

April 4th, 2010

So here it is, Easter again. I think this year is flying by, seems like it was just Thanksgiving almost. I’m out at my grandma’s house right now passing time. We always come out here each year for the main holidays. It’s nice to see the family, I only wish that the food selection was more to my liking. I usually just sit here at the table watching everyone else eat.

It’s kinda lonely out here this year. All of the family is here except Billy. I had to leave him at home this year. Last night he fell and hurt his knee so its all swollen so he’s stuck in bed. All he can really do it hobble to the door to smoke and then right back in the bed he goes; poor thing. He’s got some good pain killers though.

So I’m writing this on my new iPad. =) I have to say that its not half bad. I really like it. It may not be the most practical thing in the world but I really like it. I was most excited about playing sudoku on it; no more fat fingering it! However I have fully mastered sudoku on my iPhone yet I’ve not won a single game on here. What’s up with that?

Well I wont babble any longer; I think it’s time for Dexter. =)

Remodeling

February 18th, 2010

It’s been a long unpublished road lately. Billy has slaved away in the bathroom on this remodeling project and it’s finally paying off. I wasn’t able to gut the bathroom entirely like I wanted to but it has transformed entirely over the past six weeks. We are almost finished too! Thus far we’ve repainted the entire set of rooms in a nice calming spa blue pallet. Rather than ripout the tile floor we chose to restain the grout from a dirty white to a nice medium grey. Also we took out the giant 80′s style mirror and Hollywood style lights, and replaced them with two separate framed mirrors with recessed lights and pendants. All the fixtures in the bathroom were previously chrome, but now they are oil-rubbed bronze (very nice if I do say so myself). All we have left to finish is the built in cabinet over the toilet. Well that and replacing the door knobs; but we are going to replace all the door knobs in the house and at $25 each it’s an expensive endeavor all on it’s own.

As soon as everything is finished I’ll take pictures for everyone that hasn’t or can’t come over to see it in person. If you all had been wondering where we’ve both been lately, now you know!

That Boy is a Monster.

December 20th, 2009

We french-kissed on a subway train; he tore my clothes right off. He ate my heart an then he ate my brain…

I don’t know why I’m so smitten with this song but I absolutely love it!

Today we had our big family Christmas with the relatives and it was pretty good. There were a few missed faces but I’m glad I got to see everyone. My mom’s side of the family is very large so we always try and get everyone together around the holiday, but still giving them time to spend on christmas with their own families. We’ll spend Christmas day with my dads side of the family like usual. The dog is asleep, I think she had too much turkey; haha. Poor kitties hid under the bed all day, which is normal for them. Bailey has his neuter appointment in the morning, so he’s sure to not be very merry for Christmas. My grandma gave all of her children a two and a half pound box of assorted chocolates; ironically most of them are diabetic. Football has been on all day in the background, and I have no clue about any of it. I haven’t hardly typed anything and I’m already losing my concentration and starting to ramble on. I better stop now before I get too far off track.

So Tempting

November 5th, 2009

Apparently on Saturday, Wal-mart is running a promotion where if you buy an Xbox360 Arcade for $199 you get a $100 gift card with it. The Arcade is the lamest of the Xboxes but, the only real difference is the hard drive. I don’t need the HDMI cable that the more expensive versions come with, I’ve already used all three of those ports on my tv, haha. Plus I’d rather the PS3 be on HDMI and an Xbox on component since the PS3 is blu-ray. Gah!!! Decisions decisions. I need to buy Billy a birthday present, so I shouldn’t spend the money, but its a great deal! *bangs head*

New Additions

November 2nd, 2009

BaileySo over the past two weeks we have gained a new addition to our little family. Billy discovered a kitten from the litter that the stray had in our backyard swimming in the pool. It was making laps around because it couldn’t get out and it was running out of will quickly. He was able to scoop it out with the net and brought it into the house. We nursed it back to health and dried it out, but the little thing is just so cute we had to keep him. He appears to be a Himalayan (long haired, colored like a Siamese, with short legs). His eyes are the prettiest blue color, and I hope they stay that way. It has taken us two weeks now to decide on a name for the little guy. After much debate we decided on Bailey; mostly because he’s the color of Bailey’s Irish Creme. I wish he’d stay a tiny kitten forever but I know he won’t.
