It is official, the cats have waged war on the dog. Not all dogs, just the white one. The little black dog we have just swaps sides as she sees fit. It was bound to happen sooner or later, but I’m almost glad it has finally started. Soon they’ll prove their dominance and put him in his place and the world will go on as it’s supposed to. Plus since everyone will be out of town next week, I have to babysit my cats, and their dogs all together. So I’d rather everyone be on the same page now, that way come Wednesday we should be all good.

Friday, March 25th, 2011It’s the end of the work week for most people, for me it’s just another day. A day full of laundry that is. I can’t complain though since I actually almost enjoy it. Sad hearing myself say that ya know? I think it’s just spending time with myself being productive that I enjoy. Plus I love these high efficiency machines. Right now I’m done with two loads, the third is in the dryer, and the last just finished in the washing machine. Almost there! (more…)

Last week I had an accident when doing my hair. It accidentally came out looking like this and I’ve been doing it ever since. Truthfully I think it’s too long to be doing this, but it still looks pretty cool. Everyone thinks it’s rock hard when they go to touch it, but its really soft and fluffy. I tested it out today in the rain and it held up pretty well too. Please ignore the shirt. I really don’t like it very much. In fact I don’t even remember ever purchasing it. After I got out of the shower today I went rummaging though my closet for a long-sleeve shirt and came across this and felt guilty that it has probably never been worn before.
I figured I’d bring the blog back out of retirement today. I had switched to tumblr, which is neat in its own regard, but it just isn’t the same. I’ll continue to use it too, but it’s mainly a photo-blog to me and by photo I really mean snap-shots. Oh, I also picked out a new theme for WordPress too!
As you can probably guess, I still haven’t found a job yet. Unfortunate as that is, I have applied to a few more places this week. Lets all keep our fingers crossed for me okay!? I really hope someone gives me a chance to prove that I can do a great job. If you know of a job opening, or if you yourself are hiring I’m right here!!! *waves arms*
Ahh well, I’m getting a bit hungry, so I think it’s time to run. Have a great weekend y’all!

…you just want to rip off all your clothes and jump right in. Or at least that’s how I feel right now. The weather has been much cooler lately so it’s actually enjoyable to be outside. Don’t get me wrong it’s still hot out, but it’s livable. I want to get in the pool so bad but I know the water is cold. Such hard decisions in life!
I feel like I’ve eaten the entire buffet and then some at Golden Corral! I haven’t though; hell I wouldn’t be caught dead at a Golden Corral. We went to Firehouse Subs for lunch today, and to anyone who hasn’t tried it, you are truly missing out. The subs are delicious, and their “medium sub” is more filling without chips than Subway’s six inch meal. It isn’t much more in price either.
Bailey was being extra cute this morning cuddling with Billy. I wish he would do that with me, but I’m not his “mommy”. I do love him though. Him and Loki are my babies. Plum is just Grand-pa kitty since he’s so much older.
Tomorrow I have to call the Postal Service and open a claim since they’ve lost a package. I called last week and they said I had to wait 14 days of the tracking information being outdated before they would do anything (even though on their website it said after 7 postal days). I’m mad, but not overly pissed since the package was free to begin with. It’s my free iPhone case from Apple. Don’t get me wrong I want it, I’m just not as mad as if I had actually paid for it.
There was something it seems that I wanted to mention, but I just can’t remember what it was. Oh well if it comes to me I’ll just do an edit and add it in. Later guys, love ya!

Grand Theft Billy
Sunday, August 29th, 2010Ever since beating Super Mario Bros. on the Wii, Billy has been digging through my video games looking for something else to conquer. Never did I think he’d pick Grand Theft Auto. It’s cute how he was hell bent on playing the game without using cheat codes, and as soon as I left the room when he was having trouble with a mission he miraculously beat it. Closer inspection reveals cheats now listed in his virtual cellphone.
After praising myself so well in my last post I’ve already slipped. We stayed out way too late last night at a bar that was way too busy. Ended up standing up all night and my legs just couldn’t bear the treadmill today. I guess its good to have a day of rest too. I’ll be back on it first thing in the morning though! I’ve gotta work on that hot body!
Speaking of last night, it was crazy busy. We went out with a few friends and waded through the crowds of people and the ear splitting dance music. At one point everyone except Billy and I was on the dancefloor. I was far too sober to even attempt dancing. I know where my abilities are, and it certainly isn’t there. It was fun though, even though I had to pee the entire time (which is why I wasn’t drinking). Gay bar/club bathrooms scare the hell out of me!
Billy and I are starting a medium sized home project. Since remodeling the bathroom, and working on our bedroom we are slowly getting all the fit and finish done. All of the chrome and brass in the house will eventually go away and be replaced with oil-rubbed bronze. The door knobs are mainly what is left, and at $25 each and needing 30 of them it’s a slow process. To add insult to injury the door hinges are $3 each and needing three per door adds even more to the equation. Now I’m not going to cheap out on the knobs but as for the hinges, we bought some “Oil-rubbed bronze” spray paint. So we shall see how this turns out. Since they don’t get touched or rub on anything it “should” hold up fine. We already know the color matches really well.
I upgraded my version of MarsEdit on my laptop to the newest version and It’s much improved. I highly suggest it as a blogging tool for mac users and word-press users. It supposedly integrates with iPhoto now, we shall see.
I feel slightly guilty for playing music in the background. It’s turned down so low I can’t even hear it. I’m just trying to run up my play counts on last.fm ha ha. I’m such a dork! Oh and click the link, it’ll take you to my profile where you can friend me (hint hint).
Well, I’ve babbled enough for now. Its time for a snack! I think i’m going to get a nutri-grain bar…

I’m so proud of myself! I’ve been exercising everyday (a combination of treadmill and the bow-flex) and eating a lot better. I’ve learned that you stop eating when you’re full, not when the plate is empty. And if I get the munchies between meals I’ll have a healthy snack instead. Although I must confess I had a Reese’s peanut butter cup (the mini kind) the other day. I felt so guilt after because I had gone so long without chocolate. I won’t let Billy bring soda in the house either, that way I’ll only drink water. He still has his Dr. Pepper & Vanilla Cokes, both of which I wouldn’t touch anyway.
I’ve noticed a few small changes over the past couple weeks of all this exercise and stuff. My pants fit different, they’re a lot tighter in the ass! I can only hope that all this uphill treadmill jogging has started to create an ass back there. Hopefully some visible result will show soon, that’s the motivator. If I can see a difference then hopefully it won’t seem like a chore anymore.
I’m still upset about the whole job thing, but what can I do about it? I’m just going to have to find something else (hopefully).
Last night the kittens were hell-bent on playing with the Roomba. Every time I’d turn around one of them would be on top of it pushing the “clean” button and then attempting to ride it. It started making a funny noise so I flipped it over and pulled a cat toy out of the brushes. I also discovered more parts that come off of it to clean. I didn’t even know the cat hair would get in some of these places. It runs a lot better now though! I can’t wait to get rid of this carpet and have the hard wood floors down. Less mess, and easier on both it and me to clean.
I found a nifty iPad, iPhone, and Mac app that organizes all your bank statements yesterday. I spent a couple of hours typing every thing in and I’m still not done yet. I’m amazed that so far this year I only had two transactions that I couldn’t remember what the were for. One was my Ad Valorem taxes, and the other I still haven’t figured out. It was to some company I don’t remember for $9 on July 28th. Odd that I can’t remember and it wasn’t that long ago.
Speaking of iPhone, I still love my iPhone 4, and my iPad! I’m excited because Deal Extreme finally has knock-off apple docks for both of them now for like $5 each. I bought a knock-off dock for my 3G from them and it worked perfect. Shipping takes a few weeks since it comes from china but it’s well worth it in savings.
While we are on the subject of iPhones still, my “free” case from Apple has gone missing during shipment. It was shipped DHL Global Mail, where DHL ships it to a local post office near you and then you receive it via USPS. Well the last tracking update had it changing hands from DHL to USPS on the other side of Atlanta on August 16th, and it hasn’t been seen again. USPS won’t open a claim until next Wednesday. I could have walked to where it is (or was) and back by now.
Loki has been very sweet lately. Not that he isn’t usually nice, it’s just rare for him to be this lovey. I can’t complain though. Last night Bailey hit a milestone, he laid down in the bed near Andy and even allowed him to pet him. Granted next time they see each other I’m sure he’ll go back to hiding under the bed like always. Oh, and Plum is still alive and kicking. I think having these five foster kittens has given him a reason to live. He doesn’t want them to turn into his replacement.

I’m still currently sick, which sucks. I do feel somewhat better though. Like most colds it just takes a little OTC medicine (maybe a good does of pseudo-ephedrine in there too) and just a few days of waiting. Even though I have been sick, I went out last night with Billy, Andy, and Joey to Blake’s. It was a lot of fun and there were q good amount of people there. I’m glad I went, plus if I hadn’t I wouldn’t have ended up with this really cool picture. There wasn’t any editing done, the red filtered lights at the bar and the front facing iPhone 4 camera (i’m sure the low light along with the fact that its VGA played a big part in it). Never the less I think it came out pretty cool!
I’ve spent the better part of the last two days (or so) going back through all my old blog posts cleaning up. I didn’t delete them or anything, but a lot of them had broken links or pictures. I was able to fix most of the pictures, and the ones I couldn’t I removed the image tags out so it wouldn’t display a broken link. I had great hopes of being able to find all the appropriate pictures but alas some are just gone into oblivion. It’s one of the unfortunate consequences of changing web hosts, that and my unwillingness to embrace WordPress’ own gallery function. I’ve since come to terms that using plugins for other types of galleries is just a botch job that never works fluidly. I haven’t decided if I want to change the way I have my photography gallery or not yet though. I still have it hosted through Picasa. I do however like how the built in gallery plays nice with lightbox and it just works for imbedding into posts.
Oh, I’m really big into Last.fm (my profile) so add me as a friend on there please! If you’ve never tried it it’s similar to Pandora only better. It gathers data on the music you listen to in iTunes, on your iPod/iPhone/iPad and makes suggestions for music you would like based on what you listen to. Give it a try!
I was lucky enough earlier this week to come across someone on an online forum that had a question about their Nissan Altima Coupe. They had a new 2010 model fully loaded with black interior and silver trim. They wanted to know if all the black trim pieces that show up on ebay from wrecked 2008+ models would work or not (which they will) and I told him so. So he sold me some of his silver trim pieces (that I like better) for $25. New it would have cost me over $130; SCORE! I bring this up because FedEx just showed up a little bit ago with my package!

Happy Easter!
Sunday, April 4th, 2010So here it is, Easter again. I think this year is flying by, seems like it was just Thanksgiving almost. I’m out at my grandma’s house right now passing time. We always come out here each year for the main holidays. It’s nice to see the family, I only wish that the food selection was more to my liking. I usually just sit here at the table watching everyone else eat.
It’s kinda lonely out here this year. All of the family is here except Billy. I had to leave him at home this year. Last night he fell and hurt his knee so its all swollen so he’s stuck in bed. All he can really do it hobble to the door to smoke and then right back in the bed he goes; poor thing. He’s got some good pain killers though.
So I’m writing this on my new iPad. =) I have to say that its not half bad. I really like it. It may not be the most practical thing in the world but I really like it. I was most excited about playing sudoku on it; no more fat fingering it! However I have fully mastered sudoku on my iPhone yet I’ve not won a single game on here. What’s up with that?
Well I wont babble any longer; I think it’s time for Dexter. =)

New Additions

So over the past two weeks we have gained a new addition to our little family. Billy discovered a kitten from the litter that the stray had in our backyard swimming in the pool. It was making laps around because it couldn’t get out and it was running out of will quickly. He was able to scoop it out with the net and brought it into the house. We nursed it back to health and dried it out, but the little thing is just so cute we had to keep him. He appears to be a Himalayan (long haired, colored like a Siamese, with short legs). His eyes are the prettiest blue color, and I hope they stay that way. It has taken us two weeks now to decide on a name for the little guy. After much debate we decided on Bailey; mostly because he’s the color of Bailey’s Irish Creme. I wish he’d stay a tiny kitten forever but I know he won’t.
